New week, new signals.

If you’re new here, this is your weekly read on everything shaping AI in healthcare - news, signals, and trends discovered.

The goal is to surface the latest findings, track how trends are unfolding, and highlight signals that are too early to be noticed.

Each week covers:
1️⃣ Solutions and launches
2️⃣ Governance & Policy
3️⃣ Research
4️⃣ Partnerships
5️⃣ Investments + M&A

💡 Bonus: I also share raw, unfiltered takes and foresights - the kind that don’t make it into press releases just yet.

(So far, six of my predictions this year have already come true - I’ll compile them alongside those which haven’t unfolded yet in next week’s issue.)

Let’s dive in 👇

Signal of the week

OpenAI’s $350K Hire for Healthcare & Life Sciences Sales

OpenAI just listed a Healthcare & Life Sciences Account Director role - its second major commercial hire after Nate Gross, MD (cofounder of Doximity) joined in June to lead healthcare go-to-market strategy.

It’s a clear next step: OpenAI is moving from powering healthcare apps to selling directly into pharma, med-device, research, and provider markets.

Focus areas mentioned:
• R&D productivity → AI copilots for research & trials
• Regulatory automation → FDA/EMA submissions
• Clinical documentation → Voice & text automation
• Patient & provider personalization

Foresight: Expect a wave of pilots over the next year - starting with CROs, health systems, and medical device firms embedding OpenAI’s models in live clinical and regulatory workflows.
